1st Anniversary as an Employee Ownership Trust

We recently celebrated our first anniversary as an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT). One year on we'd like to share some of our latest news and developments!

What's an EOT? : An EOT is a trust established to own shares in a trading company for the benefit of the employees, thereby creating indirect ownership of the company by the employees.

In 2024, with help from local grants we invested in new Temperature and Humidity standards that will expand our existing UKAS Schedule. Our latest arrival was a brand new Fixed Point Temperature standard which will help us reach our goal of becoming UKAS accredited for ITS-90 fixed points for RTD's Tin, Zinc & Aluminium, with future plans for Indium, Gallium & Triple Point of Hg (Mercury).

We are also enthusiastically awaiting delivery of a new Humidity chamber which will widen our existing UKAS Schedule (currently 5 to 95 %rh between 10 to 50 °C), with the temperature range of humidity calibrations initially increasing to 60 °C and then to 90 °C in the future.

We are also pleased to introduce a new product! In response to the requirements of prominent pharmaceutical company we developed a fully bespoke, vertical style, dry-well block calibrator -40 °C (60 °C below ambient) to +100 °C with interchangeable multi-well inserts.



In other news, TMS acquired additional office space! The Sales and Accounts departments have relocated to their own dedicated area, with other teams to follow in the future. Not only does this move benefit the Administrative departments, but it has also freed up space for the Laboratory and Service department to expand their operations.



Our focus has always been on growth and working smarter, so these changes along with improvements in our day-to-day operations will help with the speed and level of service we can offer to our customers.
